The About Co. was hired to produce films for Central Michigan University’s Leadership Safari for 2018 and 2019.

CMU Video Production

Our task was to capture the entire week and produce several films that CMU uses internally and externally. The key piece to this video production is a high-energy hype film that recaps the week. We love producing this video because it allows us to use lots of fun tools and techniques in order to create some lively imagery. We pull out all the stops from drones, hyperlapses, gimbals, twisting camera movements and more! We’re always looking for a new way to capture events and capture the energy of Leadership Safari through video.

What is Leadership Safari?

In our words… It is THE BEST welcome week and orientation for college freshman we have ever heard of. All incoming freshmen have the opportunity to attend a 5-day orientation that focuses on teaching leadership skills. One of CMUs core values is not just graduate students… they graduate leaders. We love this so much because it gave new students the chance to learn the entire campus, meet staff and administrators, and get to know their class through leadership exercises and experiences.

Can we brag for a second? We created this amazing drone shot for the end of the video in 2019. It was a shot that took lots of planning and several attempts to get right. But we did it. It’s a day to night drone shot. It’s pretty unreal and we are super proud of it. Take a look!
